We're specifically seeking Headhunters (Agency Recruiters) rather than Corporate Recruiters & Sourcers due to the distinct cultural differences between these roles.

At Verticalmove, a Technical Recruiter operates in a full-desk capacity, balancing both recruiting and business development. Typically, 80% of our time (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) is focused on recruiting, while 20% (Wednesday) is dedicated to business development. However, there are occasions when the balance may shift to an equal 50/50 split between the two areas.

The exciting part of full-desk recruitment is the diverse earning potential—you can generate income on the candidate side, client side, or even both. The most significant earning opportunities are often found in client-side transactions or double-sided transactions.

This is a true full-desk, agency recruitment role. It’s crucial that we align on this key principle: recruiting is sales, and Verticalmove is fundamentally a sales organization that specializes in recruitment.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Recruitment Professional to join our team specializing in IT Consulting and Digital Transformation Services. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving candidate pipeline growth and expanding our candidate base. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying and engaging potential software engineering (Data Engineering, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Applied Science) candidates through various channels such as prospecting, cold calling, emailing, and LinkedIn messaging. This position demands excellent communication skills and the ability to build and nurture lasting relationships with candidates.

CAREER RESPONSIBILITIES:

PROSPECTING:

  • Conduct in-depth research to identify potential candidates and build vast talent pipelines.

  • Utilize various resources such as industry directories, online platforms, and social media to generate candidate leads.

  • Identify top 5% of software engineering candidates by thoroughly understanding their skills, experience, and career aspirations, and gather relevant information about their needs, challenges, and goals.

COLD CALLING:

  • Initiate outbound calls to prospective candidates to introduce both our IT consulting and digital transformation services, and vacant opportunities within our clientele.

  • Engage in consultative conversations to understand candidate motivations, ideal opportunities, availability, travel requirements, and skills.

  • Articulate the value proposition of our services and develop customized pitches to generate interest.

EMAILING:

  • Craft compelling and personalized email messages to engage potential candidates.

  • Develop email campaigns and follow-up strategies to nurture leads and drive conversion.

  • Utilize email tracking tools to monitor email open rates, click-through rates, and responses.

LINKEDIN MESSAGING:

  • Leverage LinkedIn as a powerful networking and candidate lead generation tool.

  • Identify top 5% of software engineering candidates by thoroughly understanding their skills, experience, and career aspirations, and gather relevant information about their needs, challenges, and goals.

  • Send personalized messages to initiate conversations, share relevant content, and establish relationships.

RELATIONSHIP BUILDING:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with prospective candidates through effective communication and regular follow-ups.

  • Understand candidate needs and provide appropriate career opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified technical candidates, track progress, and report on recruiting activities.
