Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in helping us achieve our goal of making fire and water damage "Like it never even happened!" Primary Responsibilities:

Customer Satisfaction:

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships for construction services.
  • Educate customers on the construction process and guide them through their project journey.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand and incorporate desired upgrades and changes.
  • Ensure all estimates meet client requirements and expectations.

Project Initiation:

  • Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for each project.
  • Create accurate sketches and initial scopes of work for construction projects.
  • Deliver consistent, well-defined initial estimates.
  • Identify project constraints and necessary upgrades early in the process.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to price bid items as needed.
  • Proficiency in Xactimate and experience in tracking profit are essential.

Project Planning:

  • Finalize and document the project scope of work with precision.
  • Engage with external resources when necessary to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Assemble detailed and organized estimates using Xactimate Software.
  • Effectively communicate and deliver estimates to the Project Manager.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of construction estimating and/or insurance adjusting experience.
  • Candidates must have a proven track record with a high close ratio on awarded jobs.
  • Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Advanced math skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficient in Xactimate estimating software.
  • Ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Must have a clean driving record.

Compensation and Benefits Offered:

  • Base Salary: $95k - $103k, with an annual discretionary bonus.
