To be considered for this opportunity, you must reside and be authorized to work within the United States. This is an on-site position with working hours from Monday to Friday, approximately 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Occasional on call/remote/weekend hours as required. This position requires candidates to be located within the Kentuckiana area. Relocation support is not available.

About This Role:

Join our dynamic team in Louisville, Kentucky, and play a vital hands-on role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our fast-paced, automated distribution center. As our on-site Systems Administrator , you'll be the first point of contact for our end-users, providing crucial technical support in a predominantly Windows Active Directory environment. You'll be responsible for maintaining our critical hardware and software systems, robotics and automation equipment, contributing directly to our long-range plans with timely and cost-effective solutions that minimize impact on our daily operations.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Be the Go-To for User Support: Provide exceptional first-line technical support to end-users, diagnosing and resolving a wide range of hardware and software issues. Act as a knowledgeable liaison with hardware and software vendors when needed.
  • IT Team Partner: Offer one-on-one coaching and promote cybersecurity awareness among our users. Partner with all teams to drive operational excellence.
  • Maintain and Optimize Our Network: Implement, configure, administer, and support our Local Area Network, including meticulous maintenance of user and group profiles within Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Master Microsoft Technologies: Administer and support our Microsoft environment and ensure the smooth operation of Windows-based workstations (both PCs and laptops).
  • Support Warehouse Operations: Provide essential technical assistance for our Warehouse Management Software to facilitate efficient troubleshooting.
  • Safeguard Our Data: Implement and manage robust backup and recovery procedures and contribute to our disaster preparedness strategy.
  • Keep Our Hardware Running Smoothly: Provide hands-on support for a variety of warehouse devices, including Android tablets, RF scanners, barcode printers, as well as desktop and laptop computers. Conduct preventative maintenance on thermal printers, projectors, and all IT related equipment.
  • Manage Telecommunications: Configure phone endpoints (handsets and softphones) and perform basic troubleshooting of phone/network circuits. Manage network cabling as needed.
  • Track and Manage Assets: Maintain accurate records of hardware assets and ensure software licensing compliance.
  • Ensure System Reliability: Proactively monitor system performance, including tracking system resources. Respond promptly to system alerts to maintain smooth and efficient automated processes.
  • Contribute to Business Success: Undertake any other functions necessary for the efficient operation of the IT department, as directed.
  • All tasks as assigned.

Entry Level Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Computer Information Sciences, and/or equivalent practical, and/or relevant certifications such as: CompTIA A+, Network +, Security +, CISSP, CISM.
  • Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a Distribution/Manufacturing environment, with a solid understanding of inventory management, shop floor operations, shipping processes, and sales workflows.
  • Proven technical proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server and Workstation environments, Active Directory, and networking principles.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts, cybersecurity best practices, and the Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Familiarity with VPN and remote work technologies, as well as mobile device management.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting various printer types, labeling systems, and barcode technology.
  • Physical ability to lift equipment weighing up to 45 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various positions (including crawling) for system and network cabling tasks.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer information sciences, or related.
  • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in a Distribution/Manufacturing environment, with a solid understanding of inventory management, shop floor operations, shipping processes, and sales workflows.
  • Experience supporting warehouse automation technologies, such as robotics, RF guns, barcode printers, and PLC systems is highly desirable.
