About the Role

Snapsheet is looking for self-motivated, competitive go-getters to join our growing team as RV & Trailer Appraisers . In this remote, production-based role, you’ll manage a high volume of claims for insurance carriers across the U.S. and Canada.

As an RV & Trailer Appraiser, you're a subject matter expert in evaluating damage to recreational vehicles and tow-behind trailers. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, seek continuous improvement, and collaborate well with like-minded professionals. Whether you’re working with a repair facility or chatting with a teammate, you communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally.

If you have estimating experience in RVs or towable trailers—but haven’t worked with all types—we still want to hear from you. We provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to help you grow into the role.

Responsibilities

  • Write fair and accurate estimates and supplements for RVs and trailers—including motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, utility trailers, and horse trailers—based on photo documentation of physical damage
  • Ensure compliance with carrier and state-specific guidelines
  • Professionally negotiate pricing with repair facilities
  • Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards
  • Adjust estimating approach based on trailer/RV type, carrier preferences, and QA feedback
  • Implement guidance from auditors and leadership to drive continuous improvement
  • Thoroughly document claims using internal tools and reliable external references
  • Communicate effectively with shops, carriers, and customers
  • Work independently while maintaining alignment with a remote team

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience estimating RV or trailer damage (e.g. travel trailers, fifth wheels, horse trailers, utility trailers, or motorhomes)
  • Broader auto/specialty estimating experience is a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of trailer/RV structure, repair methods, parts sourcing, and configuration types
  • Strong understanding of insurance principles, including total loss assessment and fraud indicators
  • Skilled in one or more estimating platforms (CCC One, Mitchell, Audatex, AdjustRite)
  • Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, remote, production-based setting
  • Receptive to coaching and driven to improve
  • Bonus: State appraiser or adjuster license (or willingness to get licensed—we’ll help!)

Benefits & Perks

  • 100% remote work
  • Competitive salary

  • Company-provided training to expand your estimating knowledge
  • Exposure to multiple carriers and vehicle types
  • Quarterly advancement opportunities and career pathing
  • Generous PTO
  • 401(k) with 4% company match
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage

Additional Information

This remote U.S.-based role is not eligible for hire in the following states: CA, CO, NY, WA, KY, MT, WY, MA, OR, IL, HI, UT, or AK.
