Position Purpose:

The Pilot Plant Technician plays a crucial role in supporting operations at the R&D Pilot Plant facility. This position involves various responsibilities, including the setup, assembly, disassembly, cleaning, sanitization, and basic maintenance of pilot-scale processing and filling equipment.

A key aspect of the role is to assist Process Engineer(s) during batching and filling activities throughout the product development cycle. Ensuring a smooth day-to-day functioning of the unit is imperative to guarantee the facility is organized and prepared to support project-related activities.

This is a hands on role, the Technician will be actively involved in assembling or moving equipment such as homogenizers, pumps, fillers, hoses, etc. Additionally, meticulous attention to detail is essential to complete required documentation accurately, timely, and legibly, in adherence to applicable regulations and company policies, practices, and procedures.

The successful execution of these responsibilities will contribute significantly to the efficiency and success of the facility's operations.

Major Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the physical cleaning, sanitizing, and assembly of processing equipment.
• Executing cleaning verification and providing support for cleaning validation initiatives.
• Coordinating the staging of raw materials and aiding Process Engineers during batching activities.
• Managing the fulfillment of sample preparation orders, including filling aerosol products, creams, and lotions into various packaging formats.
• Conducting daily scales verification and assisting external contractors during yearly equipment calibrations.
• Collaborating with external contractors bi-weekly for water testing, overseeing test data, and preparing summary reports.
• Maintaining meticulous logs for rooms and equipment.
• Ensuring a well-maintained stock inventory for processing cleaners, cleaning tools, spare processing parts, and other essentials.

Compensation:

$25.33/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
