Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Reliability Engineer to join our Maintenance Department. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our packaging and processing machinery, including Ribbon Blenders, jar filling and capping lines, and flexible pouch packaging production lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background focused on ensuring the dependability and performance of equipment throughout their lifecycle, aiming to minimize downtime, reduce costs, and improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE)

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis and Problem Identification: Analyze equipment failure data, identify patterns and trends, and conduct root cause analysis to determine the underlying causes of problems and how to prevent recurrence.
• Preventive Maintenance and Reliability Strategies: Oversee the preventive maintenance programs, predictive maintenance strategies, and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) plans, with a focus on their effectiveness.
• Equipment Performance Monitoring: Monitor equipment performance, identify potential issues before they become major problems, and recommend solutions to improve reliability.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement measures to prevent or mitigate failures, using tools like Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare reports and documentation related to reliability and maintenance findings.
• Manage and maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for tracking and scheduling PM activities (including parts kitting and ensuring inventory is on hand to execute)
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to ensure that reliability is integrated into all aspects of the organization.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance reliability and efficiency (OEE)
• Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs for employees on reliability-related topics.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance, or related fields within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with dry ingredient blending and consumer packaging goods packaging machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in using CMMS software and maintenance tracking systems.
• Understanding of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and root cause analysis (RCA), and how they relate to overall equipment efficiency (OEE)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Reliability Engineering (CRE) or equivalent.
• Experience in the food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies.
