Job Description

Our Client in Cherry Hill, New Jersey is seeking a Medical A/R Follow-Up Representative to join their team. This position can sit in Pennsauken or Cherry Hill. This is a Temp to Hire position, offering $18.00 - $24.00 per hour, based on experience. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.

Your responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:

• Resolving billing discrepancies and addressing denials or rejections promptly
• Analyzing and interpreting Explanation of Benefits (EOB) or Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) and taking appropriate follow-up action
• Following up with insurance companies via phone or payer portals regarding denials and payments
• Identifying billing trends and researching payer guidelines to report findings to management
• Correcting and resubmitting claims as needed
• Performing accurate documentation and data entry
• Monitoring Accounts Receivable follow-up work queues and reports
• Assisting with other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of medical billing follow-up experience (Required)
• Direct experience with A/R Insurance Follow-Up (Required)
• Knowledge of CMS-1500 claim forms for Physician Billing (Required)
• Familiarity with insurance carriers and payer portals
• Understanding of medical terminology, CPT, and ICD-10 codes
• Ability to meet productivity goals
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and research skills
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• EPIC system follow-up experience is a plus
• High school diploma or GED is required
