Mechanical Engineer

Full-Time

Morales Professional seeks a seeks a versatile and hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our manufacturing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to be involved in the entire product lifecycle—from initial part design and prototyping to overseeing CNC machining processes, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting product usage with customers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, small company environment. This position requires close collaboration with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

Mechanical Engineer Part Design and Development

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD Inventor).
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing.
• Perform tolerance analysis to ensure functionality and manufacturability.
• Develop and test prototypes to validate designs and identify improvements.

Mechanical Engineer CNC Machining Support

• Develop and optimize CNC machining programs (e.g., G-code) for turning operations.
• Select appropriate tooling and machining parameters for efficient, high-quality production.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement process improvements.
• Collaborate with machinists to ensure accurate and efficient production.

Mechanical Engineer Equipment Maintenance and Reliability

• Implement preventative maintenance schedules for CNC machines, presses, and other production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
• Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Manage spare parts inventory and sourcing.
