MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Reports to: Plant Manager

Compensation: $30 - $35/hr

Your Role:

As a Maintenance Technician II, you’ll spend your day supporting the core operations of a growing metal finishing facility. You’ll be hands-on across the building—checking pumps, responding to equipment alerts, and supporting production teams with repairs or adjustments. You might start your morning inspecting wastewater systems, then switch gears to help install new process piping or swap out a faulty valve. You’ll work closely with EHS and Engineering teams to keep things running smoothly, safely, and in compliance with all procedures. No two days are the same, and your mechanical know-how will help keep production moving forward.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems including pumps, ventilation, and wastewater equipment.
• Support day-to-day upkeep of plating systems and chemical handling infrastructure.
• Assist with the build-out and installation of new tanks, lines, and environmental equipment as the facility expands.
• Follow all EHS procedures and safety protocols when working around chemical systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and assist in root-cause troubleshooting.
• Maintain documentation for inspections, maintenance logs, and safety checks.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed during facility upgrades or repairs.

What You’ll Bring:

• 2–5 years of facility or maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, or cleanroom environment.
• Working knowledge of pumps, piping systems, and basic HVAC.
• Comfortable working near chemical systems with appropriate PPE and training.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical diagrams or system schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset.
• Reliable, hands-on, and eager to support a growing production team.
