The Role at a glance:

We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our Traditions team in Pearl, MS. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the plant projects and maintenance functions within the facility. This role involves managing a team of maintenance technicians and maintenance supervisors to ensure optimal performance of all plant equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in engineering principles, experience in food manufacturing, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead and mentor a team of maintenance staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback and developing training programs to enhance team skills.
• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Oversee all maintenance activities, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating repairs efficiently.
• Manage engineering projects related to equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement engineering solutions that enhance plant performance.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and practices, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions.
• Monitor compliance with quality standards, ensuring that all engineering processes meet regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and manage the engineering and maintenance budget, advocating for necessary resources and cost-saving initiatives.
• Analyze costs associated with maintenance and engineering projects, identifying opportunities for efficiencies.
• Drive process improvements through the application of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
• Act as a liaison between the maintenance team and plant operations, ensuring clear communication and alignment on goals and priorities.
• Regularly report on engineering performance and initiatives to management.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in engineering and or maintenance management, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to machinery and equipment.
• May require occasional travel, overtime and on-call availability for emergencies.
