Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Maintenance Manager with a strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and a proven track record in manufacturing environments . This role is responsible for leading and coordinating all maintenance activities across electrical, mechanical, and utilities systems, ensuring maximum equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance team in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining heavy industrial equipment, including motors, drives, PLC systems, and high-voltage electrical systems.
• Develop and oversee preventative and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Manage and maintain all plant-wide maintenance systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA, NEC, OSHA, and other applicable codes.
• Direct maintenance activities involving cranes, conveyors, power distribution systems, hydraulic presses, and large rotating machinery.
• Supervise and mentor a team of electricians, mechanics, and technicians, ensuring skill development and performance accountability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Safety departments to support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Control maintenance budgets, manage spare parts inventory, and coordinate with vendors and contractors for outsourced services.
• Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to track work orders, maintenance history, and asset performance.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for equipment failures and reliability issues.
• Champion a safety-first culture and ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required. Advanced degree or certifications a plus.
• 7+ years of maintenance experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Demonstrated expertise in electrical systems including 480V three-phase power, control systems, PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred), and VFDs.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Maximo, MP2, or similar).
