Job Description

The Maintenance Manager will be a key leader in the plant, responsible for overseeing capital projects, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and machinery, leading the training and development of maintenance staff, and managing facilities operations to ensure a safe, functional, and compliant work environment. This is a leadership role where you will work closely with your team to ensure the smooth operation of maintenance activities and production processes and support continuous improvements within the plant.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians to ensure the highest level of performance, safety, and technical competence.
  • Provide regular training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety practices.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the maintenance department.

Equipment & Machinery Management:

  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to maximize uptime and minimize disruptions to plant operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation issues with equipment and machinery as they arise.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance activities and ensure they are followed by the team.

Facilities Management:

  • Oversee the maintenance and management of all facilities, including the building, utilities, and infrastructure to ensure the plant is safe, functional, and compliant with local regulations.
  • Plan and manage routine inspections, repairs, and upgrades to the plant’s physical infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for facilities-related services, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
  • Ensure that the plant’s facilities and surrounding environment are optimized for energy efficiency and sustainability.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations, as well as company safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Lead by example in adhering to safety protocols and encouraging a proactive safety culture.

Capital Projects:

  • Manage and oversee capital projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety standards.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and integrate new equipment and machinery into the production process.
  • Provide guidance on the identification of opportunities for capital investment to improve plant efficiency, reliability, and safety.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance plant efficiency, reliability, and overall operational performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments (production, engineering, etc.) to drive improvements and support plant goals.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with a variety of equipment and machinery, including troubleshooting and repairs. Strong electrical background.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
  • Experience managing capital projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, preventive maintenance practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in facilities management, including managing building infrastructure and vendor relations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Four-year degree, Technical degree or certification in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, etc.) is preferred.
