Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Onsite – Tallahassee, FL 32301

Contract Term: October 1, 2025 – June 30, 2028 (with potential 3-year renewal)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in collaboration with software developers, business analysts, data analysts, and subject matter experts.
• Manage project progress, risks, and issues within the approved project plan, budget, and resources.
• Proactively identify risks and escalate issues with recommendations to senior management.
• Facilitate change management processes and ensure effective communication across stakeholders.
• Collect, maintain, and distribute project status reports, meeting minutes, and updates to stakeholders.
• Coordinate project resources and assignments to achieve objectives.
• Ensure compliance with DEP project management methodologies, standards, and policies.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with program partners, customers, technical staff, and vendors.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance project delivery and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Certification: Active PMP Certification .
• Experience:
• 5+ years in IT project management, with focus on medium-to-large software application projects.
• 5+ years managing multiple projects concurrently.
• 5+ years developing and maintaining project schedules in Microsoft Project.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Iterative).
• Skills:
• Proven ability to plan, monitor, and manage software projects effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Customer service-oriented with experience in collaborative team environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with environmental regulatory processes and practices.
• Knowledge of DEP’s technical environment.
