Field Technician

Ponce Inlet, FL (near Daytona Beach) – Onsite

6-Month Contract

We are looking for a Field Technician to support hands-on fieldwork and maintenance operations at a beautiful waterfront location in Ponce Inlet. This role is ideal for someone who is handy, dependable, and eager to support environmental inspection and repair activities. Responsibilities:

• Perform hands-on fieldwork such as lifting, building, mending, and inspecting equipment and structures (racks, fences, panels)
• Conduct inspections in marine environments including docks, riverbanks, and beaches
• Use cameras to document work and upload basic field reports
• Follow day-to-day direction from team lead and contribute to various rotating field projects
• Assist with organizing or assembling materials and tools for sample collection and future project needs
• Work in and around water (boots required), often wading into shallow areas
• Collaborate with a small team in a relaxed but productive environment

Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions reliably
• Hands-on or trade experience (plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or similar)
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Basic camera and documentation skills
• Experience in construction, repair, general maintenance, electrical, or plumbing work
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to a team, complete tasks independently, and learn new processes quickly
• Familiarity with safe work practices in outdoor environments
