Job Description

Edward Martin is seeking a results-driven, strategic Director of SEO to lead and scale our organic search efforts. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive SEO strategy that aligns with our business goals, drives traffic, improves search visibility, and fuels customer acquisition. As a key member of our marketing leadership team, you’ll partner across departments to ensure SEO is fully integrated into digital campaigns, content, and web development.

  Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute a company-wide SEO roadmap for growth across all digital properties
  • Own SEO KPIs: organic traffic, keyword rankings, domain authority, backlinks, and conversions
  • Lead and mentor a team of SEO specialists, content strategists, and technical consultants
  • Serve as the primary SEO advisor across the organization

Technical SEO

  • Oversee site architecture, page speed, crawlability, indexation , and schema implementation
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure SEO best practices are built into development
  • Conduct regular SEO audits and implement solutions for performance improvements

Content & On-Page Optimization

  • Develop and scale a content strategy that aligns with target keywords and user intent
  • Oversee on-page optimization: meta tags, header structure, internal linking, etc.
  • Collaborate with content and creative teams to optimize new and existing content

Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance using tools like GA4, GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Stay on top of industry trends and algorithm updates, and adjust strategy accordingly

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with paid media, UX, CRO, and brand teams to ensure holistic digital marketing alignment
  • Advise PR and partnerships teams on link-building strategies and off-page SEO

  Qualifications

Required:

  • 7–10+ years of experience in SEO, with at least 3 years in a leadership or director-level role
  • Proven success managing large-scale SEO initiatives for ecommerce, SaaS, or content-heavy websites
  • Deep understanding of search engine algorithms , ranking factors , and technical SEO principles
  • Hands-on experience with key SEO tools: Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, GA4
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on performance metrics and ROI
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to convey complex SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred:

  • Experience in international or multilingual SEO
  • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CMS platforms
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
