Job Description

Job Description: Consultant - Manager

Excelerate LLC, a boutique consulting firm, is looking for high-caliber and passionate leaders to help grow our business. Excelerate is a unique consulting firm, set apart by our approach. We focus on offering deeply experienced consultants who are hands-on with our clients by working in a facilitative manner. Successful candidates will embody Excelerate’s founding pillars -- humility, energy, integrity, and flexibility. These pillars are the backbone of our work, our culture, and our people.

As a Consulting Manager, you will play a key leadership role in guiding our clients through complex business challenges. With a strong foundation in consulting and a track record of delivering results, you will own the end-to-end execution of projects—leading workstreams, shaping strategy, designing solutions, and ensuring impactful delivery. You will also be a trusted advisor, building strong client relationships and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of large, complex workstreams from initiation through execution.
  • Translate business challenges into actionable strategies by gathering requirements, analyzing data, and mapping processes.
  • Identify areas of operational inefficiency and risk across project lifecycles and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct financial modeling, data analysis, and business case development to support strategic decision-making.
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations that communicate complex concepts and drive executive-level engagement.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions with client stakeholders to uncover insights and co-design solutions.
  • Design data-driven strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and align with broader organizational goals.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, ensuring timely delivery of milestones, budgets, and client expectations.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients through consistent value delivery and trusted advisory support.
  • Mentor and coach junior consultants, fostering their growth and development.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in management consulting, with a focus on digital acceleration, digital solution deployment, vendor sourcing and management, strategic program management, and change management and training.
  • Hands-on experience implementing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) technology.
  • Background working with clients in the retail industry.
  • Proven ability to lead workstreams and deliver measurable results in dynamic client environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including Agile and Lean methodologies.
  • Creative thinking and ability to seek innovative solutions to complex technical/business problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in fast-paced settings.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel to client’s site in New York City 1-3 days a week.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
