Overview
The Community Growth Manager is at the heart of The Hub CoWorks, ensuring a dynamic and welcoming environment where entrepreneurs, remote workers, and organizations can thrive. You’ll oversee business development, community engagement, event planning, social media, and daily operations, all while collaborating closely with CEDRR and StartUp Rutland to strengthen Rutland’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Partnerships
● Identify and recruit companies, entrepreneurs, and professionals who align with The Hub’s mission and could benefit from utilization of The Hub’s facilities.
● Track contacts with prospective members using Office RnD software to ensure regular follow-up and conversion to paying customers.
● Conduct tours for prospective members and potential partners.
● Build relationships with local press, business leaders, and community partners to increase awareness of The Hub CoWorks.
● Manage new sales and renewal pipeline to ensure growth of membership.
Community Management & Engagement
● Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that promotes member satisfaction and collaboration.
● Facilitate networking and mentor connections between members.
● Organize and oversee community-building initiatives, such as lunch-and-learns, themed meetups, professional development opportunities, and pop-ups for local businesses.
● Act as the primary point of contact for members, addressing concerns and resolving issues quickly and effectively.
● Develop processes and systems for collecting and responding to data related to the use of the space and member experience.
Events Planning & Execution
● Develop and execute a quarterly events calendar catering to members, potential members, and the broader business community.
● Organize events such as workshops, panel discussions, networking sessions, and social gatherings by partnering with local businesses, organizations, and speakers to enhance event offerings.
Social Media
● Regularly document and post updates about member success stories and upcoming and past events, highlighting activity at The Hub to our social media following.
● Strengthen The Hub CoWorks' brand presence online and in the local business community.
Operations & Space Management
● Liaise with members, vendors, landlord, and service providers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including coworking space organization, office supplies, and technology infrastructure.
● Maintain WiFi connectivity, printing stations, kitchen supplies, and meeting room availability to enhance the member experience.
● Ensure an orderly, clean space to meet the needs of users.
Experience & Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent professional experience.
● 2–4 years of experience in community management, event planning, customer service, or marketing.
● Experience selling to organizations and/or individuals, including prospecting and pipeline management, and turning leads into paying customers.
● Strong event planning and project management skills.
● Passion for Rutland’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and a desire to support local entrepreneurs, startups, and businesses.
● Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
● Ability to work independently while collaborating with teams and partners.
● Technical proficiency in the use of social media for marketing, basic IT troubleshooting, and the ability to learn new software platforms quickly.
Compensation
This is a full-time salaried position. The anticipated salary for this position is $60,000-$70,000. Additionally, this position is eligible for commissions based on sales and renewals of coworking memberships.
